MILWAUKEE, Wis., (July 27, 2008) – 22nd Assembly candidate Sandy Pasch added to her long list of prominent endorsements this week by earning the support of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME PEOPLE Committee) and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU Wisconsin State Council).
“I’m extremely proud to receive this support, especially at a time when many people and groups are reserving their endorsements until after the primary,” says Pasch. “Whenever I get an endorsement like this, it is another third party who has studied what I offer compared to my opponents and come to the conclusion that I am the best person to represent this district.”
An impressive group of elected officials and community leaders endorse Pasch, including Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm, State Senator Judy Robson, Glendale School Board member Nick Hassler,Whitefish Bay Trustee Julie Siegel, and Shorewood Village Trustee Margaret Wrenn Hickey. Pasch also has the support of law enforcement (Milwaukee Deputy Sheriffs Association), teachers (American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Local 212 and AFT Wisconsin), and healthcare professionals (Wisconsin Nurses Association and Wisconsin Federation of Nursing and Health Professionals).
