News from Sandra Pasch for Assembly, 7/26

Two great new endorsements came through this week-the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Workers (AFSCME PEOPLE Committee) and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU Wisconsin). I'm extremely proud to receive these endorsements, especially at a time when many people and groups are reserving their endorsements until after the primary.

I've also earned the support of law enforcement (Milwaukee Deputy Sheriffs Association), teachers (AFT 212 and AFT Wisconsin), and nurses (WNA and WFNHP), as well as a host of community leaders like District Attorney John Chisholm and State Senator Judy Robson. Check out http://www.sandrapasch.com/supporters for the full list.

These endorsements are important to my race because it is not just me saying I'll do a great job for the 22nd Assembly district-it's third parties who have studied what I have to offer compared to what my opponents offer.

Speaking of...you'll have a chance to hear me and my opponents first hand at the League of Women Voter's forum at the Shorewood Library, 6:30-8pm on August 5th. I do hope you'll come.

I'm feeling great and fully energized-I've now been to over 5,000 voters' homes-and I plan to continue giving it my all to win this race.

Thanks so much for your continued support-it means a lot to me.

"Eradicating Poverty in Milwaukee in the Next 10 Years"

This Thursday, July 21, Sandy will be participating in the Milwaukee Philanthropic Venture Fund forum, "Eradicating Poverty in Milwaukee in the Next 10 Years." MPVF CEO Susan Stein and former Milwaukee District Attorney E. Michael McCann will open the event, which runs from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Milwaukee Yacht Club, 1700 Lincoln Memorial Drive. Participation is free and open to the public, but space is limited. Please RSVP by Monday, July 28th to susanmilwphil [at] gmail [dot] com or 414-278-0000 if you can attend.

Susan Stein asked Sandy to participate in order to share her expertise on the role that mental health plays in poverty. Sandy is a founding member of the Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force, past four term president of the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Greater Milwaukee, coordinator of the Milwaukee Crisis Intervention Team and founder of the Milwaukee Crisis Intervention Partner Program-all of which gives her great insights on the subject.
